The Milab VM-44 is a small diaphragm condenser microphone with an interchangeable capsule system (cardioid capsule as standard, with optional omni and supercardioid alternatives, swappable in seconds via a threaded mount). It has a frequency response of 20 Hz - 20 kHz with a presence peak around 10 kHz, a transformerless amplifier circuit, and a switchable -12dB pad allowing it to handle SPLs up to 140 dB. It operates on 12-52V phantom power, and is suited to transient-rich sources such as acoustic guitar, piano, and drums, in both studio and stage use.
