Frequently Asked Questions
How does AV equipment hire work?
Hiring equipment from us is straightforward. Browse our equipment catalogue, add the items you need to your basket, and submit an enquiry. Our team will review your requirements, answer any questions, and provide a quotation as quickly as possible.
We offer two types of hire:
- Dry hire – you collect or receive the equipment and operate it yourself.
- Wet hire – the equipment is supplied with our technicians to handle setup and operation.
Once you're happy with the quotation, simply confirm the hire and we'll prepare the equipment for your event. We also offer delivery and collection services where required.
In addition to supporting end users, we provide cross-hire services to production companies, installers, and AV suppliers looking to supplement their own equipment inventory.
Do you deliver across the UK?
Yes. We can deliver equipment throughout the UK, either using our own vehicles or trusted courier partners, depending on the location and requirements of your hire. For urgent local requests, same-day delivery may be available subject to availability.
Delivery costs vary depending on the destination, timescales, and the volume of equipment required. Please contact us for a tailored quotation.
What's the minimum hire period?
Most equipment is available on a one-day minimum hire basis. We also offer competitive rates for weekend, weekly, and long-term hires, making extended projects and events more cost-effective.
If you're planning a longer hire period or a touring production, please contact our team and we'll be happy to provide a tailored quotation.
Do I need to operate the equipment myself?
Not necessarily. We offer both dry hire and wet hire services. With dry hire, you are responsible for setting up and operating the equipment yourself. If you'd prefer additional support, or if the equipment is unfamiliar, we can provide an experienced technician to assist with setup and operation.
Our technicians can help ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing you to focus on your event with confidence.
Are you insured? Will my booking be covered?
Yes. For wet hire bookings, where our technicians deliver and operate the equipment, the equipment is covered under our company insurance.
For dry hire bookings, the hirer is responsible for the equipment from the time it is collected or delivered until it is returned. We therefore require customers to provide proof of suitable insurance cover for loss, theft, and accidental damage before equipment can be released.
Can I cross-hire equipment for resale to my clients?
Yes — we cross-hire to other production companies regularly. Trade rates available on application.
Can you supply equipment that isn't listed in your hire catalogue?
Yes. Our hire catalogue reflects our in-house inventory, but it isn't the limit of what we can supply. Through our network of trusted industry partners across the UK, we can source a wide range of additional equipment to meet specific project requirements.
If the item you need isn't shown on our website, simply submit a hire request or contact our team with your requirements. Whether it's additional stock, specialist equipment, or a complete system package, we'll explore the available options and provide a quotation where possible.
