The AKG CK98 is a small condenser capsule combining high sensitivity and controlled directivity, with a tight polar pattern and low self noise. Its small size and low weight suit it to boom applications, and its smooth, wide-band frequency response works for edge-of-stage and ceiling placement in theatres. It's part of the Blue Line Series and works exclusively with the SE300B pre-amp module, using a Modulock bayonet coupling for quick capsule changes.
